We at Here She Stands have created this blog, an online space to encourage Australian Lutheran women as we continue to grow in faith. So that together we can stand firm in our shared faith, becoming courageous, strong and striving to do everything in love (1 Cor 16:13).

As we trust in Jesus’ Word, and depend on His holy and precious body and blood for our sustenance, it is our prayer that this blog will build up women of faith as they live lives of service to their neighbour bringing glory to God, so that when the tribulations of this world try to push us down, we can confidently say, “Here I stand. I can do no other.” 

On this blog you will find reflections on the HSS podcast episodes and more information about our podcast guests. If there is anything you want to learn more about, you can leave a comment on Youtube or your podcast platform, or you can email us. We will endeavour to write a reply that can be shared with the HSS community. Occasionally, we will invite guests who are better equipped to reply to questions that the HSS community would like to unpack further. 

We will also invite special guests to share their writing to encourage you in your earthly vocations and in your eternal hope. It is our hope that no matter what is going on in the church and in the world around us, we can lift up our hearts to God, trusting in His mercy and promises. Finally, this blog has been created to give space for Lutheran sisters in Christ to guide, teach and encourage each other in faith through conversation and consolation. We hope to do this by sharing prayers, meditations and devotions, as well as our stories of joy and struggle.
