My favourite fiber medium is wool. Last year I was fortunate to attend the iconic Shetland Wool Week in Shetland. I had knit 'stranded knitting' (patterns with a design) before, but my 'retirement from teaching holiday' to northern Scotland in 2024, provided inspiring instruction from world famous knitters. This opportunity allowed me to further develop my fleece preparation, carding, spinning and 'stranded knitting' skills and technique.
The Alpha/Omega design has been created by me, especially for Here She Stands customers.
I hand spin lovely South Australian Wool (Corriedale/Romney/Finn blend). Once spun, I wash then knit these beanies and each one is unique, made with the  sustainability of wool. I thoroughly enjoy the process.
As followers of Jesus, we are reminded to daily 'put on' the Armour of God (Ephesians 6: 10-18), so I hope this beanie will be reminder to you to wear your 'helmet of Salvation' - who is Christ Jesus, the first & the last: He who is 'Alpha and Omega'.

* Wool-care instructions are  provided with each beanie. To stretch beanie to fit your own head size, rewash gently in eucalyptus wool wash & warm water, rinse, wring in a towel, then 'don your helmet'. The slightly damp wool hat will stretch to fit to size your head to perfect (as wool fiber has memory).
