About Us

Hello! We are Tasmin and Lexy Bourne, the creators of The Good Confession. We have been married for 9.5 years and live in Tasmania with our five daughters. 

Tasmin worked in agriculture for 17 years, but has been studying to be a pastor for the last two. Lexy is a homeschool mum and host of Here She Stands, a podcast for Australian Lutheran women.

We both came from different denominations, but converted to Lutheranism in 2021. It was through studying Lutheran theology that the gospel was made clear to us! Good doctrine and the truth of the Scriptures brings freedom and comfort for the sinner. This is most certainly true!

About Our Shop

The name of our shop (The Good Confession) is taken from 1 Timothy 6:11-16, where the Apostle Paul exhorts Timothy to uphold his confession of faith:

But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honour and eternal dominion. Amen.

Our mission is to encourage Lutherans to hold fast to the good confession of their faith through creating shirts and other items that remind us of the work of Christ.

The Good Confession is still in early development and we plan on adding more confessional Lutheran items to our inventory as time goes on.
